Looks like the ole CMC is off board of its wanky solution once again, J. I'm about ready to call it quits, but as soon as I do, there'll be a full out freak blizzard.... waitt..... maybe I SHOULD call it quits.. hmmm lol

Although that image post was for Sunday, whereas Toot's was for next Tuesday. Probably not much difference though to be honest.

Pissed might not be the right word. But I do recognize what appears to be a pattern of Toot hyping something, then backing off slightly and saying he never hyped something, then nothing happening, and him moving on to the next thing. For someone who claims to be such an expert on this stuff... he sure is spectacularly wrong about a lot of things.

Weather is fluid, and predicting it is hard. Unless you have a met degree, the best you can do is use model output and old storms to predict what's going to happen.

Making a prediction on a feeling, or what you wish would happen, or worse, taking into account only the models that show what you want to see (the FIM model anyone?) is not meteorology or climatology. Its wishcasting.

Seems like some around here fell for it hook line and sinker. Don't be fooled again.

MUNDIE You retard...what I was showing was what the cmc was modeling at the time...I never said it would verify but I did say that I thought it was THE most reasonable solution AND i STILL THINK SOMETHING SIMILAR VERIFIES. No Danny - you said that the CMC was locked in, right before it dropped all but a hint of moisture and trended towards the Euro and GFS.

Again - even Ms. Cleo is occasionally right about something. But at least she's vague enough in her predictions that she's never massively wrong.

I'll take the 72 hour model consensus over the ramblings of someone who claims to be a climatology expert, but whose track record shows otherwise.

My opinion is that your "forecasts" are merely wishcasts. We all want it to snow Danny... but telling people its going to, or that there's still a chance, when there is little to no chance is just a cry for attention man. Let your forecasts stand on their own merits. If you're wrong, you're wrong. But don't hold yourself up as an expert. Even DT, Cosgrove, et al, don't speak with the authority you do. Only Bastardi...

Well after I tried to explain many times to him that I was simply stating my thoughts at the time of the cmc being my prefered model he continued to act Like I was calling for blocking and crazy shit that i didnt say so he has 10 days to cool off if he wants to.

Guys, i know the pattern hasnt set up quite yet,but b patient. It should come. Yall need to check out WXRISK.COM if u havent already. He updates his blog a few times a week. He explains in great detail about this stratosphere warming event in the artic circle and how it should translate to our weather forecasts in next few weeks. I would post the official link,but my cellphone wont allow it. One thing positive bout 12zgfs is that it builds cold air in west canada. It has been absent up there also
