Re: Jan 12th-15th Clipper Systems
The 12z buries points south of I-40 in the state. Pretty much a mirror image of some of the big storms from last year. 6+ inch bullseye right over Nooga.
Be surprised if it's remotely close to that next run with the way the models are acting, but who knows?

Re: Jan 12th-15th Clipper Systems
I'm thinking that thing either becomes just a light snow or moves northward with the heavier precip. I just don't think a SE tn snowstorm is in the books here. Could be wrong, but I'm just not with it.

The euro will crank up here in a little while we might see something a little different.

Wouldn't be one bit surprised to see a northward trend on the model myself.

What time period are we talking about guys? I want to be positive about this stuff, but until its 48 hours out I am not getting excited about anything. These temps worry me. Must be because the models are struggling with the pattern change possibly?

Nevermind, 15th is it I believe. I don't think I'm gonna be seeing 7 inches of snow at my house on the 15th, but then again my name isn't God.

I worry about temps too. It always seems that we finally get a good system and the ground is too warm for it to stick, or the bulk of the moisture comes in with warm air and we get a 1/2 inch on the backside, or the temps are borderline and it changes between rain and snow and then it rains and washes any snow away. At least that's the way it happens for the little hole I live in.
Trying to stay positive. I think I will do a chant.."It will snow...it will snow...maybe closer to time run around the house nekkid. It can't hurt, right?

Re: Jan 12th-15th Clipper Systems
Sounds like we need to organize a group streaking. We're bound to get lots of snow that way. Or a bunch of strange looks. Either way, it's all good.
Now, back on topic. When do they latest runs come out?

LMAO!
The GFS updates usually roll in around 6pm, 10pm, 6am, and 10am. The Euro around 1pm and 1am.
