I am just a little ways across the mountain, I hope we can squeeze out an inch over here. Is it snowing pretty good in Greeneville?Math/Met wrote:It’s actually starting to accumulate a little on mulch and cars here.

It hasn’t been very heavy yet, but we’ve had about an hour of light to moderate snow. I just looked out again, and there is a VERY light dusting on the grass. Good luck.

Looks like we have some token flakes entering Knox county at the moment. Time to turn on the flood lights and get out the magnifying glass!

Kidding, grats on the heavy!
Sorry for the massive typos....it was a bumpy road whilst texting...about a half inch on the ground near chestnut hill...near the sevier/Jeff county line. I decided to come to my mothers house and ride out the next batch because it looked to stay north of me in sevier....Currently 33 and light snow about 3 miles from MRX

Snow has been very light here in Erwin. One concern I have is the low temp. tonight of 27. There will certainly be some slick spots in the morning. Anybody getting any heavier snow?

Light snow in west knox, more like a hard flurry. But hell, I'll take it I reckon!
Re: *FEBUARY 19th/20th 2012 SNOW THREAT*
We are showing nothing on the radar, but the biggest flakes we've had today are flying, so awesome!!!!

I was just about to make a post regarding that. We are getting decent snow at the moment and nothing is showing up on radar. Just something for everyone to keep in mind tonight.

Too late! I just caught both of them on my tongue! Better luck next time!

You ain't joking. It's not doing anything right now. Not even a rain drop.
I hope some bird peed em on the way down.

I thought they tasted a little funny...
It should hit you any minute now, radar shows it pretty much on southeast knox.

Yep, I hear ya Toot! Been out o pocket the last couple hours. When I got out of church tonight, was actually surprised to walk out into a pretty good snow I'm at 32 now too and starting to stick to the glass table outside. Also looks like it might be trying to cling to the grass a little too. Radar looks about like you said earlier! Looks like may be a little more to go tonight.

While the moisture is becoming more limited with time, the ratios should be getting better now. Not that it means much at this point, but the NAM and RUC both show areas of around .1 inch of QPF through 06z over the northern parts of East Tennessee. The RUC Bufkit show about an inch of snow for Morristown and the Tri-Cities over the next several hours.
I realize that I'm probably overanalyzing such a small event.

Yessir...people may wake up with a white ground in the morning...its certainly possible now that CAA is in full affect
