We are heading out later this morning to meet a buddy of mine who keeps his cruiser docked at Island Cove Marina. As of last night he doesn't know if his boat made it or not. I heard the marina got blasted. The only video I have found was from News Channel 12, local CBS affiliate. It shows some of the damage but mainly from the entrance as they moved the people back from the marina. If I get any pictures I will post them if anyone is interested. Here is the video link from 12.

Hey Andy, what program are you using (if you call it that) to enable you to have a radar look like this, and where do you get it? Thanks.

Pretty Tornadic storm effecting southern Georgia right now.

Really good rotation on it too. Sorry I just love posting about storms.

The NWS has spotted a developing tornado forming on this storm, textbook rotation.

Andy, Adam, and others using this, do you have GRLevel3 or GR2Analyst? I see there is a GRLevel2 as well.

It's unfortunate that there isn't a Mac version of this but I suppose it might be worth running in a virtual machine. It's actually surprising that more radar apps do have this graphical smoothing feature, especially RadarScope.

Oh RadarScope is awesome, but it uses the raw jaggy images and does no smoothing. I use it all the time, I just wish they enhanced their scans like GRLevel3 does.

this is one thing radar scope needs to add in an update of some sort. i was slightly disappointed when i realized there was no smoothing. still a very useful and great app though!

That dosen't even look real, Toot. Even though I know it is. How do people just stand there while a big 'ole tornado passes them, like one street over? I admire people who ain't afraid of storms cause they track and follow them to make us safer, and so we have cool videos to watch, but I could never do that.

After all the storms and then heavy rain we've had here in early March the interstate near my area has slid and now it's closed down for who knows how long. It's snarled traffic on all the state routes in the county. I'm going to have an extra 45 minutes probably every where I go until they get something worked out.

Haven't been following as close this week. Night shift. Had a heavy downpour with lightning and a shit ton of hail a few hours ago. Took a good videp of my cars getting pounded, unfortunately. Trying to get it uploaded with my phone if interested.
