I can definitely say I agree with that list 100%. I work for a pest control company here in E TN and hardly a day goes by that we don't have at least one or two calls for these nasty critters! I wish it weren't so, but it is a VERY BAD problem. If there is a silver lining of sorts, it would have to be that even though they bite, there have been no known cases of them transferring diseases to other people.

Eew. You know, hotel rooms are just nasty anyway. If we go to a motel/hotel with one of those comforters that looks like it's seen alot, I spill a drink on it and call the desk for another one. They probably know my scheme, but I don't care. That dosen't help the bed bugs, though.

After seeing a few of those hidden camera specials on hotels, I'm skeptical of most of them. Don't bring a black light with you and don't touch the remote... Oh and wash the glasses before you drink out of them or bring your own red solo cups!

Working in the hotel business, I have to weigh in here. So far in the just over 3 year period we have been here (still considered new) we have yet to have to face a bed bug problem. Knock on Wood!!!! Even I am creeped out when on the road. Regina and I stay at Disney at least a week every year. I check the beds and everything for critters. A few things I can say as when we travel, we do not bring any luggage into room, anything except ourselves until we thoroughly checkout the room/bed. I also bring Clorox bleach wipes and hit everything I can touch. A quick 10-15 minutes and I am feeling pretty secure. The shame is, bed bugs can come into anywhere from anywhere. Just play it smart, and you can stay free of them on the road.
