I have the WS 2080 - which is, I think, the best you can get that isn't a Davis. I got a nice radiation shield and my temps are always within a degree of OHX temps.

My wind/rain readings aren't accurate though - I think that has to do with the foliage surrounding it.

The Acu - Rite 01010W can be place in the sun and give accurate reading because it has a solar panel that when heated in the sun make a small fan come on to keep the plastic from heating up. Keeps the air moving away from the unit so it won't give false readings. But that's not to say they all work that well. When placing the 5 in one station it needs to be pointing N/S for the solar panel to get plenty of sun to operate the solar panel fan popcorn . You can calibrate the rain gauge by filling and 8 ounce cup of water in it and punching a small hole in the cup. When cup is empty gauge should read 1.06 inches of rain. If not, turn the two small screws on the bottom of the unit equal number of times and do the water thing again. Only had it 4 months. We will see how it holds up in the coming months.

Hey guys, I'm sorry I havent gotten to post anything about setting up a weather station. I've been busy as hell with Christamas and a wedding. I promise I'll get to it. May be able to work on it some tonight.

Geeze, I never expected this event to be a frog strangler, lol, but I did expect alittle more than this. Starting to wonder why pops are as high as they are overnight. I'll be surprised if we get more than a sprinkle here in the northern valley. Looks to slide just to my South. Guess i'll have to hang on till next week yikes

Looks as though we are going to bust on high temps. Again today. Currently 48 under cloudy skies and occassional drizzle/lite showers . Forecast of 61 is in serious jepordy unless something drastically happens
