00z Euro was quite impressive with 2 strong cold fronts. Could we see record low temps in some areas of TN?

The 12z nam model has lows into 30's in the TN valley wednesday! This would break records across a wide region if it verifies and could possibly be an early killing frost in some of the sheltered valley areas.

The nam has been too warm most of the time in the past few months...so these temps seem reasonable to me.

Before the cold air moves in... major league rains are headed for the southern Appalchian region the next couple of days!! Some places may have particularly bad flooding issues...especially around mountainous terrain!!

Turn around dont drown!!

Its pretty early for a southern stream system like this...if this pattern is still around come Halloween it could certainly get interesting! pals

mid atlantic and east coast could be embracing for a nice severe event by late tuesday... trough coming in negative tilted... wind profiles look really impressive for a nice fall setup, including tornadoes

The PNA looks to trend back negative towards the first of October. This should allow an October warm spell compared to the September pattern.

Managed to have my first 30s out of this with 37.4 yesterday morning. At 47 currently, so probably won't get that low this am.

todays 12zgfs is starting to show signs of some strong lakes cutters finally down the road... with the nao slightly positive at the moment... the threat of a more organized severe threat will be looming... also some nice cold air behind these systems will set the stage for a nice battle ground of air masses.
