Hey Toot im looking for one my self, I had a Ambient Weather station and it was on the cheeper side but it craped out on me. The only thing I did not like was the wind speed was only taken every 20 sec. I missed out on a lot of T-Storm gust, do you know what the time is between wind mesurements.

This one recieves wind data every 15 seconds. This is actually my first wx station..so im like a kid in a candy store right now. This will probably lead to a better machine sometime in the future.

I've been threatening to buy a Vantage Vue or similar station for the past 5 years. This may be the year I pull the trigger. I like the idea of being able to connect it to a computer and observe the data from a smartphone, as well as mine the data with charts and whatnot.

On the short term I got a wireless thermometer/hygrometer for like 15 bucks that I've been using around the house and in my camper. It beats the mercury I was using prior.

You'll really like your Davis plus it has free tune-ups for life (or as long as it still has parts). I have the Vantage Pro2 for 7 years and I've only sent it in twice (one time due to a nearby lightening strike).
