Here is a sounding for northeast TN from the GFS. It doesn’t get much better than that, especially with the assistance of a strong NW flow over the mountains. Likely some VERY heavy snow if that verifies.

MRX finally pulls the trigger on WWA's in unelevated spots in NE TN and areas of the northern Plateau. They say freezing level drops below 2000 tonight and this is when deepest moisture will be present.

Meanwhile, Sandy strengthened some more, and albeit slight, the 6z suite was a little further S even still. Feeling better about seeing a little bit of accum. Even in Morristown.
