still stuck at 28. freezing drizzle/light freezing rain now. This is the kind that really starts to build up, b/c it doesn't run away like the earlier heavier precip

Everything winding down now but this will get super slick tonight.

Meanwhile check this out
Bristol Herald Courier photographer Andre Teague came across this scene. The driver of a salt-speading snow plow looks at his truck after getting it wedged with the bed up under the Interstate 81 bridge on Cummings Street at Exit 17 in Abingdon Friday afternoon.

Lol, i'm using an old accurite (about 5yrs), so may be accuwrong, but it's been reliable in the past. I have some elevation out here, but also, there is some steep hills above me. I will have to get another soon. Be a good excuse to tell the wife I need it, lol.

Lol, yeah. No doubt Toot! Hope everyone still has power. As long as we don't get any wind, maybe we'll mostly be ok. It's when the wind blows during these kind of events that really pulls down trees. So far, i havent really seen much tree damage with this storm. Anyone else seen trees and powerlines down?

Prayers to a THP officer who died today not far from my house. He was leaving home for work and slid off the road near Emory Rd. might have been a medical problem that killed him but when the Rescue Squad got there they slid off the road in the same spot and flipped over on to the THP's car crushing it and him. Please pray for the victims and his family. Thanks.

I heard about that VFL. I will definitely pray for his family. What an aweful thing to happen! That is one of the things that comes along with ice that is just so terrible everytime we get one of these events.

Ended up with a thin glaze of ice this morning that melted by 10. Temps spent much of the day between 35 and 38 degrees. These CAD events 99% of the time don't play out here.

Woke up this morning to find everything had melted and was gone, just like it never happened! Hope everyone has a great day, praying for those that lost loved ones due to the weather..
