I could not write it up in the header but who do you think does the best at forecasting weather, maybe where you live or not. I think that guy up north on WGN Tom S didn't know how to spell his last name. But think he does a more detail weather forecast than most of them. But i also like James Spann to he is good about more details of the weather also. The clowns we got down here they are all about rating in stead of real forecasting. They act like they make there own forecast but they ck the NWS to. Am not saying they don't know anything about weather. They just try to dress it up to much. That's my 2 cents worth. Like to hear from the rest of you on who you think is the best or one of the best. Have a good day everyone popcorn

There are several great forecasters but Joe Lundberg who works at accuweather has always been one of my favorites

James Spann is THE BEST at severe weather on T.V.
Paul Kocin (Mr. No personality, lol) used to be on the weather channel, and is by far the best on blockbuster winter storms. Esp. New England. He and Unicelli (whom I hear is equally as good) are the ones being talked about when you see the phrase KU storm, like the one New England just had. I used to enjoy his analysis on the weather channel. Same with John Hope, the Director of the NHC, when they'd have him on.
As far as local, E TN, I like Todd Howell most, I guess David Aldrich is ok-he tries to be overly funny sometimes, when he's not though.

For locals here in Chattanooga I would say David Glenn from channel 9. He does go into a lot more detail and actually explains WHY he forecasts certain weather and trends. Also, he goes into a lot more detail on his blog that he sometimes doesn't do while on air.

As for the weekend or morning mets on channel 9 that's another story. They basically change it based on the most recent model run and say this is what the weather will be, ignoring any trends at all. Seems like they print out the text and just read from it.

I use to write David on his blog but can't find where to comment on it now. I use to write him and give him my take on winter. But it hard to get him to write back anymore. I also use to write Neal P when he was doing weather. One of my OLD TIME FAV was JOHN GRAY. He pass away a few years ago at the age of 92 or 93. Great Guy.
