One of the main differences that I have seen this summer from the last couple of summers is that this summer... the subtropical death ridges were never stationary. They're in and out quite quickly compared to the the last two summers (had death ridges that were semi permanent)..the subtropical ridges would setup and stay for around couple of weeks which is the genuine beast behind a bonified and true heatwave! If we see another 90 degree reading this summer here in east TN I would think it will only be for one to possibly two days max.

Anyways..this time of the year the weather starts getting much more interesting to me and I will begin to post more due to this aspect. Im ready for the much more amplified fall weather patterns! bounce

I am guessing as we enter in the last week of Aug this also will go down as below normal temps and above in rain fall. I have had 6.38 this month. Looking at long range for Sept also showing above rainfall. We hear at Chattanooga Airport have already had our yearly rainfall total. So if it did not rain another drop til January we would still be above normal for the year. IMBY i have received so far 64.26. Airport is about 54.16 inches for the year ....
