Switched to mostly freezing rain here, currently 30 degrees with light freezing rain and some sleet. Very crunchy yard and the trees and power lines are glazed.

Yeah, that graphic from MRX surprised me as well lol.
If the 0z NAM were to verify, they may still be being a little conservative haha.
Each successive run of the NAM keeps looking better and perhaps even more shocking for the valley.

Did anybody see TDOT's explanation on WVLT for brining the roads??? Basically said they knew it was all gonna run off, but they wanted to make sure all their equipment was working correctly. Huh?!?!? Wonder if that would work next time I get pulled over by THP? "Sorry officer....just making sure my engine was working correctly".

I couldn't find much of any discussion on 0z GFS what did it look like? I know the SREF was similar to the NAM.

Jeez, surely they did it for the possibility of ice. Of course, it's taxpayer money, so who knows. Plus they where probably getting paid like 50 dollars per hour.ÂGreyhound wrote:Did anybody see TDOT's explanation on WVLT for brining the roads??? Very similar to the NAM with slightly more valley warm nose up to about West Knox.Jed33 wrote:I couldn't find much of any discussion on 0z GFS what did it look like? I know the SREF was similar to the NAM.

Literally the further East in Tennessee from I-65 tomorrow afternoon you live the more snow you will get... (besides areas blocked by mountains or whatever as I don't know nothing about that stuff) But the snow is going to basically change over right along I-65 according to the one model thingy on this site and slowly move east as it deepens. I think I am right on the line to see a little something but man why can't this form a little further west!! Lol oh well its only November for crying out loud so this is turning out awesome lets hope rest of winter is a good as this bad boy!!

Looks like Nash has went with at WWA for it's entire CWA Skills. Most of East Tennessee is also there with MRX not surprisingly, being the most conservative of the JKL/OHX/MRX trio.

Well sitting here with 2 inches of rain so far and 34 degrees i call this getting screwed out of a good snow. Too bad the air temp is to warm up above. Calling for here in Chattanooga as much as 3 plus inches of rain and an 1 inch of snow on the Mts surrrounding Chatta and Chatta in the valley less than an 1 inch.

Re: White Thanksgiving? (Early season Nor'easter)
My thinking has still not gone up from last night. I still see only about a half an inch, at most, in the Central valley, with a possible dusting in SE tn. NE TN will probably get around 2 inches.

Re: White Thanksgiving? (Early season Nor'easter)
Here is the latest HI RES NAM which usually robs the valley due to downsloping/warm nose
Even the hi res is laying it on THICK!
Close to 20in on Leconte by the time all the NW flow snow showers get finished. I think the Hi Res nam is pretty close with both of these graphics
