WOW! If that pans out that would put that snow band or whatever over all of Tennessee at some point. (maybe less on the north western side but still good)

For some odd reason its just not phasing the energy of the northern and southern streams at all! It gets them close enough to wrap but just no vort action! I think its wrong..even the nam is phasing the energies! Something will give by this time tomorrow with this disagreement

This is probabilities for more than one inch of snow from the HPC and is valid for Wednesday only as western parts of the state would have a better chance on tuesday but it looks as if anything significant were to occur it would occur in the middle to eastern part of the state!

HPC probs for more than 1" of snow

I disagree with it..I think the probs in the mountains of eastern TN and western NC should be near 100%

The Euro has been trending a little warmer/a bit less snow from run to run. Consistent with placement, yes. Just look at yesterday's runs of the Euro if you don't believe me when I say less snow per model run. Yesterday it was showing 2 inches down below Knoxville. Now, it's showing the warm air tongue reaching up to just about Jefferson County, and giving Knox County around an inch, or slightly less. I tend to agree with that.

I'm thinking around an inch of snow for Knox County up to just above Hamblen County/Grainger County. Extreme NE TN will probably get around 2 or 3 inches. Of course, the mountains and plateau will do excellent with the system, more so the mountains.

JKL is saying 1 inch minimum for their area, with 2-4 or 3-5 not out of the question. With higher amounts in the higher ridges. They are mulling a winter storm watch and expect 6-9 hours of heavy snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Thanks for the info John..looks like an interesting one for sure.

On a different note.. lets just forget about the drunk person (Jasper) who used to be a big part of this forum but went by another name then! Lets try and stick to the likely snow we're about to see smoke
