A dusting would be nice that would be the third time this year I've seen some form of accum. Had one dusting around the middle of Nov, the Thanksgiving inch, and if this happens then I guess we'll see. Hard to argue with what we've had here thus far I know some think winter's over after this week, but those people are SADLY mistaken. Winter hasn't even begun yet haha. I think a good ole fashioned winter is setting up we'll see, but I'm going all in on the winter as a whole. There may be some really warm days, but I think most will be very happy with what the winter has brought them by the end of March first of April.

It appears by looking at the 00z NAM that even the central Valley and points East see around .25 with sub 32 850s.

Wow pretty amazing if that verifies, and it may. Wxsouth just updated and he has added Knox N and NE to Tri in his possible accum area. Says according to RAP this area could be on the fringes of a developing comma head which could translate to a couple hours of snow. On a side note, down to 39 now and foggy again.

It's going to be close on temps for everyone along and east of the I-75 corridor as far as snow goes. I'd say that Cumberland to Fentress/Western Scott will do the best here.

Sleet/rain here with a temp of 34 degrees. Temp had gotten down to 33 but went up one as precip was moving into the area.

We have sleet, then heavy rain, then sleet. I truly will forever hate the dreaded warm nose and it doesn't even effect me nearly as often as it does many of you.

That SE ridge has just been a real bear to beat down. It really fought hard against an impressive cold regime.

I do see that it's snowing in Nashville with decent returns heading your way. Hopefully that area gets an inch or two.

looks like the HRRR was correct on this one. I definately underestimated the warm nose. Looks like MRX was right on the money with this/that one

Well I woke up this AM to drizzle and fog 38 degrees. It's currently 36. Just not enough CAA to fight off the warm air I guess. Looks like the advisory will not even verify at Tri. I'm not sure if Grainger will either. As I type this snow is trying to mix in but it's a little too late. Oh well on to the next.

I got about 1/4th of an inch of snow, and about an hour of freezing rain/sleet that only glazed decks and tree limbs.

Some of you may have seen this already on several other forums, but this is really a unique situation. Wish I could have been there to experience it.

If guidance is correct the first significant upslope snow event will begin in the higher terrain sunday night. Should lay down a few inches in the higher elevated areas

I am moving up to Pennsylvania today (around the Mason-Dixon line near York). Tomorrow, there is a Winter Storm Watch for the area for around 6-8 inches of snow. Talk about a "welcome back home"! Snow heaven for me!

One of our local weather men said there was real cold air mass they may head our way. He said may be 8 to 14 days out. But if it comes down this way it will be the coldest air he has seen in many a year. Watching and waiting. I know this is a ways out.

Yeah Windstorm, long range looks interesting for sure, but there is a lot of uncertainty about just how cold we could get, mainly due to the uncertainty of where the w coast ridge sets up, the location of the PV, and what amount of help, if any, the Atlantic can give us. Don't look for much help from the Atlantic (-NAO) right now though, as it's not been favorable nor does it look to be favorable for the foreseeable future. This probably means the further west you are, the better off you will be, we'll just have to see though I guess

You lucky son-of-a-gun! Me, my wife and daughter are planning to move to the upper midwest in 4 to 5 years. Can't wait to go.

wind profiles look pretty impressive late next week for some severe... course instability will be lacking... but wind fields suggest other wise... just something to keep eye out before colder air comes in( west tennessee in general)

It's snow heaven up here around the mason Dixon line. There was already 4 inches on the ground from the last two winter storms. Winter storm Electra has brought 3 more to make it around 6/7 on the ground. I am currently living in a small village, so it looks just like a classic winter wonderland here. Snow porn

Nothing to sing about here but around 8:30 this morning we got a surprise 10 minute sleet shower with temps at 37*. Nothing to write home about but wasn't expecting it.
