You should see the pictures on twitter in the Highland Rim area NE of Nashville, heavy snow in progress.

pretty big and fat snowflakes the last 20 minutes here. I really didn't expect to see more than a sprinkle or few flurries. Good wet snow that has put down a light dusting on the grass and rooftops and the always snow collecting patio furniture.

Well this one was over before it really got going here. Downsloping from the plateau killed it. Meanwhile, my in laws in Bristol, VA getting heavy snow right now. I'm done with clippers! I hope we never get another one again. They never seem to work out here. We had about 30 mins of light flurries and one brief snow shower and that was it. I'd rather even take my chances with NW flow than these dry clippers. Ok rant over!

On Signal Mtn in Chatty, we had a 40 min burst of heavy snow around 1230PM. The temp was 37 when it started and 33 only 40 min later. We got .75 inches on grass and rooftops. Melted on the roads after an hour. The temp is now 29 and dropping. It is still flurrying.

I tried to post another pic and it wont let me. It says my user storage is used up. How can it be after I only posted one small pic? The second pic was only a 40kb size pic. I wish this site compressed your pics for you. It is a little frustrating having to resize your pic so small.

I see it there now going pretty good over in Cocke co. Actually have a light snow here at the house as well. Wind is howling though, so it can't accumulate if it don't get any steadier

Got a very quick dusting to half inch dumped on us here in West Knoxville yesterday. The sleet was coming down so hard it sounded like it was hailing inside my office!! Its crazy, looking at the satellite and after driving around yesterday, how isolate the accumulated snow was here. Looks like out of of the entire valley, only a small 1 mile wide strip of accumulations shows up. We still have a decent amount on elevated surfaces and grass. Does anyone else in the middle of the valley have snow still??

I'm ready for this pattern to ease a little. I have had zero snow out of this set up. Other than a flurry! Ready for the southern branch to get active. Maybe we can get a big storm from the pattern that we enter into soon.

Jscentraltn...I thought middle TN had some snow? We got lucky on Signal Mtn(elevation 1700). We got about .75 inches and it's still on the ground. I drove down into Chattanooga and the valley got nothing. That makes (3) dustings this year of less than an inch each. (Total of 1.5 inches) All I want is one snow of 4+ inches. Is that too much to ask??
