The eastern Pacific is also threatening to get an early start
1. AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER HAS DEVELOPED ABOUT 550 MILESSOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF ACAPULCO MEXICO. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS APPEARCONDUCIVE FOR ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT...AND THE SYSTEM COULD BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS IT MOVES SLOWLY NORTHWESTWARD. THIS SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE...40 PERCENT...OFBECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS. ADDITIONAL
SPECIAL TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOKS WILL BE ISSUED ON THIS SYSTEM LATER TODAY OR SUNDAY...IF NECESSARY.

I know im probably the only weenie here even paying attention to this and its not going to effect land either. Anyways.. its starting to take on tropical cyclone characteristics as seen in the above SAT image but the HWRF only takes it to tropical storm status and the NHC has went to a high chance of this becoming a tropical cyclone

1. AN AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER LOCATED ABOUT 600 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHWESTOF MANZANILLO MEXICO CONTINUES TO GRADUALLY BECOME BETTERORGANIZED. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR ADDITIONAL
DEVELOPMENT...BUT ARE FORECAST TO BECOME LESS CONDUCIVE BY TUESDAY. THIS SYSTEM HAS A HIGH CHANCE...60 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES SLOWLY NORTHWESTWARD OR WEST-NORTHWESTWARD. ADDITIONAL SPECIAL TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOKS WILL BE ISSUED ON THIS SYSTEM TONIGHT OR MONDAY.
ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

We have the first Tropical Cyclone of the year on our side of the globe. In the eastern pacific we have Tropical Depression one. This one is no threat to any land and its never expected to become a hurricane..just a tropical storm

Hurricane Carlotta is making landfall in Mexico tonight with winds near 90mph. She looks to skirt up the SW coast of Mexico for a day or two before weakening

Ya..I think so Vann...Although I think that is relatively normal for that region this time of year.
