The storm near Rockmart GA has a history of golf ball sized hall ! Also a report of baseball size hall with that same cell in Polk county.

Ya..its a very healthy looking system!ashleyj89 wrote:I know this has nothing to do with todays storm but I saw Dr. Forbes from TWC has already put a Tor con of 4 for next Wednesday, thats pretty significant this far out right?
That puppy goes on to bomb out sub 980mb near the Canadian border! As modeled it will get very hairy but its still quite a ways out and many aspects will change..sure is interesting tho
Meanwhile.. storms off to my west looks to be weakening due to loss of daytime heating.

Apparently there's quite a bit of damage about 15 minutes up the road from here in Madisonville. I'm seeing all kinds of stuff on facebook about a tornado touchdown and trees down everywhere, power outages, and several homes damaged.
I strongly doubt that it was a tornado, but it was enough to make Monroe Co schools open one hour late tomorrow.
The interesting thing is that this particular cell wasn't even severe warned, it only had a significant weather advisory out for it...Never really looked very impressive on radar to my eyes.
