12z euro! All I have got time for.....

So it's looking about 8 inches here in Murfreesboro

Does anybody else think that these numbers could be inflated? I am just having a hard time wrapping my head around that there's going to be that much moisture behind the front.

NAM coming in wayyyyyy north..take most of the major snow well north of Tennessee..lol what a nightmare!!

Is the NAM the only model doing this? Winter Storm Watch just posted for 3-6 inches for Murfreesboro

The CMC went northward with snow totals aslo. Very tricky situation and has more to do with timing and orientation of cold front than anything

I think the nam 18z is wrong! The 0z nam came back se some... I really think it's is struggling with how fast and cold the push of artic air will be.. I'm sure it will come back to the gfs and euro... It looks like it could turn out to be one heck of a sleet storm, if we can't get rid of that warm nose quick enough... Wouldn't be suprised to hear some thunder with this one.... If it turned out to be all snow!!!! Wow!!!! We will see... When the gfs runs I'll post its totals!

It looks like a big wintry mess for somebody!!!

Here is the 6z gfs, the nam is still the slowest of the bunch so less winter precip.... Do I think it's right, no! 
I would say by this afternoon from Nashville nw will be under a winter storm warning....

WS Watches here in east tn

Nam was pretty good with the last Snow we got. But the NWS has issue a WSW for my area with 2 inches or less. Thinking maybe in my area it could be more on the Mt Tops where i am. But I will take it.

0z nam more south and east again.... Is faster with the cold air... These forecast are toss ups, if you ask me! It is pos for some big bust with the forecast... I'm trying to figure how if the artic front moves through my area in the wee hours in the morning, how it is going to take until 5 or 6 in the evening before a change over too mix precip? Anyways we will see what happens! I'll post some images after the nam and gfs run...

I am so suprised that not even a special weather statement has been posted for the smoky mountains. And Knoxville is under a winter storm watch.

Definitely a little odd..and I have no idea why there is just a few counties not in the watch..lol

Really don't understand why Chattanooga is under a winter storm Watch. They say 2 inches or less. You will be better off if you live in Middle or West Tenn. Union City, Tenn is in a sweet spot in NW Tenn. With up to 10 inches of Snow and Sleet. Timing is a big issue with this system. Looking at some maps, it looks like cold chasing moisture out which is not good and also Mt Tops would have a better chance of snow on the ground. Single digit low are forecast for west and middle tenn. Which is like January temps in March.

Nam model shows really nothing for my area.

What do you think for the Murfreesboro area
