Looks like Chatty may get in on the action this time around. Just woke up and haven't looked at any other forecasts so should be iinteresting to see the local mets outlook. Last I saw yday was 80% chance, which was what we had Wednesday and received nada. puke

Didn't expect anything overnight but we have a rain shower with thunder and a little lightning. Radar froze up on this damn tablet but look like it's just a rogue pop up thundershower. Looks like it was coming i from just south and west of Chatty.

EDIT: Actually had a good 20 minute downpour with good thunder and lightning. the Wind was nonexistent but was good to see and smell the rain.Felt like one of those pop up Summertime quick hitters. Just light rain now.

Really not sure what to expect today/tonight. Local morning met on NBC said scattered showers with main rain and storms south and east of Tennessee. ABC met calling for severe with heavy rain, especially tonight. Who to believe? Hopefully y'all with keep the updates rolling in. Walking into work so might try to catch an update at my 10 30 lunch break. Be safe all.

The Wright wx simulator is not looking bad at all. Of course I don't trust it, there is too much potential. It looks like my area is going to miss most of the early morning rain except for a little. Things should get rocking right after noon.

You can see the clouds breaking up to the south and west, this is where the instability should go sky high.

Per the MRX briefing, it's interesting that the timing has shifted such that east TN will be under the gun from around 6 to 9pm as opposed to midnight like it was looking yesterday. They also mention the possibility of BASEBALL sized hail, Jesus.

Sincerely praying for everyones safety today. Take a few minutes and text your friends, give them a heads up. Its amazing how many respones I've got that said, "severe weather today? In our area?" Also, a friend of mine in Glasgow KY says there are several storm chasers in town, NOT A GOOD THING!

That's kinda a good thing. Whatever comes, I hope it's not so late that people are in bed and aren't paying attention.

Oh the earlier timing is most definitely a welcome change. Hopefully people are paying attention today. I've sent emails to family and friends and will put something on facebook too. Spread the word folks.

Watching the weather channel radar. There's a line of red storms coming up from Huntsville AL at a NE angle. Looks like it will hit K-town and surrounding areas, if I'm seeing this correctly.
