Thank you so much guys! Its a bad situation, my brother's children were taking cover in a church in Jackson co. and I have heard it suffered damage, no word yet on their condition.

The Jamestown storm is headed right for me now. I've heard that it's a confirmed on the ground tornado.

Kentucky is being hammered ya'll. Prayers to our neighbors in the bluegrass state.

Sorry if this is off topic but local morning and weekend met David Karnes from NBC
should lose his job. He was on this morning spewing off about scattered showers only for or area. He said maybe 1/4 inch of rain but any severe threat should stay south and east of Tennessee. All other media outlets including this forum ALL called for severe and tornadoes throughout Tennessee.
Sorry for the off topic rant but it needed to be said. On another note my weather radio is blowing up again. Another severe storm popping up herein southern Hamilton county, which is where I live.

Good Lord there is some huge hail out there. MORE baseball sized hail near Chatt, geez those folks have been hit hard. The John storm has huge hail too apparently.

Just heard that so far there have been 52 funnel cloud reports from this outbreak! Holy shiznit. State of emergency in KY...

Not to be overly optimistic, but it seems like generally speaking we've lucked out with most of these rotating storms, in terms of tornado damage. The one that barreled through Maryville and through Sevier County for example never touched the ground (according to wbir) and no damage to speak of has been reported (although I'm sure hail messed some stuff up). Granted there have been isolated reports of damage as Andy pointed out and obviously there was some destruction earlier today in east TN (see Tellico Plains, Chattanooga, and Shane's pics). Hopefully bad reports don't come in later and we truely dodged some bullets this evening. More stuff coming through in front of the cold front so can't let the guard down.

Golfball or bigger sized hail and very windy. Not sure on tornado or not, you can't see more than a few hundred yards in any direction in the day time due to terrain. Can see nothing at night. I still have power, so at least there is that. Worst of it was just north of me again. Poor Jellico has gotten pounded today.

This business just south of Crossville needs to be watched. That'll track over into Oak Ridge and north Knox soon. It appears to have some significant rotation and high winds.

Edit: WBIR just said 76 tornadoes reported in total today...
