Intense storm system likely early October

First off..im not saying that this is gonna be anything epic that will cause death and destruction. There is just a very nice signal for an intense storm system! Guidance models are starting to show signs of a substancial storm system of some type that will affect some portion of the eastern US near the first of October. The longwave pattern looks like its fixing to become really..really amplified with a tanking -NAO that all starts out with an Aleutian low that probably goes sub 934DM and in response to that we get a huge PNA like ridge going on near the end of the month.

Most guidance models are in agreement with this amped up pattern but differ on the timing. Hard to say what type of storm system this will be but it could be in any form right now. That includes Tropical (Hurricane)..Lakes Cutter or Massive Cuttoff low (Severe weather outbreak)... Nor'easter (early season Mtn snow)with a full latitude trough over the east near the first of October.

Either way I would be looking for a major storm system of some type in the eastern US the first week of October with temps in the wake of the storm running many degrees below normal! Yes im posting the fantasy land GFS but it has support from many of its ensemble members. Dont take these graphics at face value because they will change! Just know that something pretty intense is probably going to happen in the weather world in the eastern U.S come the first of October

I enjoy watching the winter weather season. I hope nothing bad happens to anyone, but it's fun to track these storms.
