February 2014. What will it be like ?

I know many/some weather forecasters are expecting the cold air to retreat somewhat over the SE. More toward the West and North. A few are saying from reading difference sites that the SE Ridge will once again set up shop here in the south. Which would mean a more warmer time for us. As by now everyone knows the Ridge was on vacation in January. And also this should open the door for more rain in February as the NW flow retreats. Just wanting some input from everyone on what you think will happen next month . Thanks, stay warm and safe.

Looking at the GFS, I don't see much except for the 5th where we might have some wrap around snow showers if we're lucky. The Euro is even more conservative with a persistent zonal flow. That what I see anyhow.

Anyone think I'm right?

P.S. Looks like the ENSO is back to La Nada.

06 utc show cold/rain with about what you were talking about. Some wrap around maybe sn fl/showers .. Go out a little more show cold air coming in but not pushing down that far south and then begins to lift out very quickly. High pressure sliding east very quick.

Im looking for a warmer trend from here on out! I think an Alaskan vortex and a -PNA will begin to dominate the pattern. Cutters and App runners with a severe weather episode prob a decent bet. However.. this does not mean we wont sneak in another accumulating snow event
