She is a booking it
MRX is being tight lipped but there call map is looking pretty good IMO...I would maybe adjust everything north a county or two

Not liking the fact that a dark green blob rolled across me and I could barely squeeze out a flurry with it. The snow showers this afternoon were much more impressive. The precip shield also seems to have split and is currently not that strong upstream from me. GFS and NAM both still giving a good shot to SW VA though.

Most of the heavier precip shifted dramatically north from 18z to 0z....JKL even noted both shifts in their AFD's...they issued one near 7:30 that said alot of the heavier precip shifted south and in their latest AFD they noted that most of the heavy precip shifted north
Anyways im not sure any of those winter storm warnings that MRX put out will verify now and JKL may even have to issue some warnings. I wouldnt expect more than dusting or so unless I live in Bristol/Mtn City/Erwin area

Yep, one last winter bust to close out the season I guess. JKL's latest update was that their southern tier of counties could probably be dropped from the advisory. This one is pretty much a London Ky north event.

what the hell is up with MRX???? its 48 at TYS right now first of all....second the precip is way north...so why in the world would they UP my chances of precip to 70 percent AND UPPP my accum total to up to 1 inch(was up to a half inch)...this was pin point forecast btw. AFD stays the same.

This one was a pretty epic failure. Major model miss at a very short range. Pretty much nothing from Jackson, KY south. But they did get the very heavy snow up that way. 2+ inches in a couple hours.
I'd say we might get one more wintry burst before the spring is over, but honestly I'd just as soon it go out in this fitting fashion in this winter of discontent for snow lovers across almost the entire lower 48.

That's funny, Andy.
Re: Winter 2012 last Chance
This one really had my hopes up and then trashed them right before I went to bed last night
Re: Winter 2012 last Chance
I was woken up around 2:30 am by some really stout wind. The house was popping and crackling. Went outside to check and of course no blizzard. It would have been nice to have a weather station to see what my maximum gust was.
Re: Winter 2012 last Chance
Ok, so I kid not.... for like one or two minutes in Jefferson City around 7:45-8:00, there was a pretty heavy snow band that came through. Heaviest of the season, easily. Started covering the ground/roofs/cars, leaving about a trace/dusting of snow behind, which of course quickly melted after it left. That band was pretty stout, but pretty quick moving as well.
