Models backing way off on snow accumulations statewide. The valley will be lucky to squeak out an inch from the front itself. Hopefully the arctic airmass will squeeze out a little more with the NW flow

What? The GFS and NAM snow overlays look better today than yesterday.

The window for accumulating synoptic snow will be very short but intense. It could lay down an inch in about 45 mins time. Very tricky forecast..I think the plateau will do the best with the frontal snowVFL wrote:

I would say more like an inch possible in The Nashville area but lets keep on the radar to se how well models are handling thisPman1618 wrote:So u guys still the same on accumulation totals in middle tennessee? About 1-2 inches?

IDK what breaks my heart worse right now. Watching PGA play golf in Hawaii..... Or watching our snow chances dwindling by the minute.

Well the one thing that helps east tn is the sun will be set by the time the moisture gets here. But, I guess it don't look to good. Â

I'm afraid this one is going to be a bust..NWS in Nashville just cancelled the WWA for all of middle TN. Not looking too good at all now for east TN. No snow is being reported at all in west TN..Afraid this one is is a bust.

How is MRX reasoning that this might work out. I mean, it's not even going to work out on their part of the plateau, it's not gonna work out here I guess, unless somehow the front speeds up? Is this what they must be banking on?

Some areas could get a quick 1/2 from NW flow.

I expect MRX to probably cancel the WWA they have up for most places. If you squeeze out an inch, consider yourself fortunate. I wouldn't be surprised to see dustings more common. The flow is out of the west, and not off the Great Lakes, so not much flow moisture to work with.

That precp that was behind the front was sleet for 2 min then heavy snow for about 10 min we got about 1/2" on the ground still flurries. But looking at the radar returns to my nw in kentucky looks like some snowshowers heading down this way!

Wow thunder snow in Nashville. Also I'm seeing colder air over take the rain faster than I thought it would.
