Just east of Nashville where I am, I'd say we are at a 50/50 mix. It's trying so hard to switch but it's not quite making it. I'm amazed Adam is seeing a change to all snow down there as they are under much lighter returns.

Each run of the HRRR is adding more snow. It's now showing a nice 2 to 3 inch swath from lawrenceburg NE across middle TN. Big change from just a couple of hours ago. I'm looking at hour 20z same as the map I posted earlier. Can't post the map now since I'm on the iPad. This trend is looking good!

How long do you think it will take for us in the East to drop temps? I'm at 43 right now. I'm worried it will rain out before I drop enough to see snow.

RUC soundings don't look good for Knoxville, but there is more to it than that. You really have to get under one of these intense bands to cool rapidly enough. That is what is happening here.

Mommy you will see snow...remember it will be dark by the time the best dynamics move through east TN....I expect a trace down near Chatt town and as much as three inches in Morristown...with about an inch near Knoxvegas

No sleet?...it looked like yall were under some sleet bright banding on radar at one point

Snowing here hard atm big flakes. Trying to stick but its just not working lol. Deck is trying harder though and cars are getting it kindof slush on them but roads are just wet. Just woke up really shocked to see it snowing lol. Its starting to stick more and more common before this heavy band leaves idk it might change back to rain after this heavy band leaves.

Yay yea And i just read other reports I just looked at radar thats why I thought that cause it was just showing me as heavy rain. But yea man grass is slowing trying to fill in roofs are white deck is white driveway getting sluchy. Its sortof happening fast yet slow though lol.

No sleet here. Heavy rain at first, then it slowly started to change over. Probably took about an hour to completely change over. Getting heavy snow here now.
