The temps will rise some with the SW winds but should wetbulb down some too. OHX is saying Nashville area will get around 4 hours of ZR. 4-6 hours for Clarksville and all day for their Plateau areas.

Sleet/freezing rain has started. Temp made it up to 26 so far.

Freezing raln here. heavy coating on car. roads are seriously glazed over also. temp 29.

Saw that Crossville got up to 31 when the precip started but fell back to 29 now.

Roads in middle Tennessee are just wet I dont know why either but thats the story. Its been in the 20s all night too. Up to 30 though now.

Just woke up this morning to a slight glaze. Cars/bushes are glazed, parking lot is wet. WBIR just said the "brunt" of this is supposed to happen between noon and 2pm. >_<

I see the precip came on and developed overnight, lol. Temp has risen from 19 at midnight to now 26. Beginning to get some freezing precip now too. Also noticed that the wind is NE from knox. To tri. Would that qualify as a rare CAD event here?

Should have looked out again b4 writing that. Freezing rain coming down pretty good now, mixed with sleet. Temp down to 23.

That is a bit odd. My driveway and the road by my house are glazed. Precip has stopped for now, it's lined up in Southern Kentucky and along I-40 for now.

Yea your way north east though. Around your area I wouldn't doubt theres icy roads. I think it could get pretty bad on the plateau so be careful out that way.

Gusty ENE winds here too. It should drive cold air along and East of the Plateau most of the day.

MRX upgraded pretty much everyone in East TN except my county to an ice storm warning. Odd that 3 counties that border me get upgraded but not me.

LOL they just came on Tv and said that Jefferson County is getting the brunt of the storm... they said that they warn everyone to stay off of the roads in Jefferson county today... lol. I'm planning on going over to my Cousins house, which is down a winding backroad. Fun fun!

Everything is lightly coated with ice in Greeneville. It is 26 degrees here. I was amazed to hear precipitation falling on my roof when I woke up. It definitely moved in quicker than I anticipated.

In Knoxville, a lot of things are covered i ice... except the ground. The situation is screaming skating rink but the ground here just isn't freezing over. While that seems like a good thing, I fear it'll give false confidence or present situations where people become trapped due to conditions worsening.

Next batch of precip appears to be lining up for 40 and N. Should arrive by 9:30ish.

Just started as a mix of freezing rain/sleet. So, it didn't even start as snow. That's not good at all. Temp is 25, dewpoint 15.

I see that John, I'm more concerned about the very large band marching across the state right now. Its made it to middle tn, but that's the main show, id guess. WBIR prob. Right, prob. Noon-2 PM for that round.
