Also the snow must be underneath the radar. Got fine moderate snow but showing nothing on the radar were I'm at.

Re: March 5-6th Winter Storm
Yeah, it has been a great year for snow here in E TN from knoxville N and east, but Chattanooga has been left out too, this year. I imagine the averages will even out next year, and NE TN will have to take a back seat. This has not been a cold winter really, but it has been a snowy one, as this event brings me up to about 10.5in for the year!

Re: March 5-6th Winter Storm
Lol, MRX looks pretty silly now-an advisory should have been issued from Knoxville N. They really need to get with the program over there. Roads even got covered this AM, it's not like it was only on the grass. What I can't for the life of me understand, is that the zone forecast said total snow accum. Up to 2in, which is about what we had here, and they clearly know that is advisory criteria, yet, they refused to include this area in the advisory.

Snow is melting faster than a Derek Dooley coached football team.

This winter for MBY will have a total of about 1 inch of snow. Airport not that much. Mountain around Chattanooga will be more. Some where between 2 to 4. Looking for a better winter next season. I HOPE...

Lucky bastard! LOL! My snow total for this year is 3" which is a joke in my book. I'd love to see 10 inches.
Re: March 5-6th Winter Storm
Snow still hanging on good due to thick clouds and 32 degrees, which appears it may be the high again today. Of course the roads are clear, but its held its own in this grass and woods today.

Re: March 5-6th Winter Storm
Driving to knox today, oddly Anderson county is basically snow free. Northern Knox still had 1/2 inch or so on the ground
We've not had much of any melting today, which is amazing for March. Still have light snow and freezing drizzle going.

Re: March 5-6th Winter Storm
Ended up with about 2 to 2.5 inches here also. I was in Jefferson...Cocke..Hamblen and Sevier counties today and as far as unelevated areas go it looked like parts of Jeff county had the most this morning. About 3 inches! I drove up english mtn until the snow got too deep and I had to turn around where there was about 10 inches.
Re: March 5-6th Winter Storm
MRX handled this horribly! On my way into Jefferson county this morning I seen 4 different cars off in the ditches..LOL! A WWA or even a Special Weather Statement (SPS) could have mentioned the possibility of hazardous driving conditions. If so..maybe one of those people might have been better informed about the slick roads and actually slowed down and not be off in the ditch. That said..some people are just morons about driving in the snow!
Ok enough ranting..some pics of the scenic driving conditions this morning
At 7AM this morning Mt Leconte had 14 inches of snow..I bet they got nearly two foot! It will be interesting to here the tomorrow morning report

Re: March 5-6th Winter Storm
Quite a bit of freezing drizzle/light rain/a few flakes mixed in with a temp of 30 degrees has given everything a nice glaze. I imagine there could be travel issues by morning with the temp dropping into the 20s.

Re: March 5-6th Winter Storm
It's enough here to make long icicles off my roof and to have probably 1/8th inch of glaze on just about everything.
