March 1-2 Potential Flizzard or maybe a Little More

I'm feeling the same way Dyersburg. The last 2 hours it has snowed steadily here with the sun down and around 33 to 34 degrees and we can't even get it to stick to the grass. Maybe later tonight when we go below freezing and get some decent snow showers.

Coming home from Knox, it was light rain/snow/drizzle. When you get to about 1100 feet it's snowing. When you get to 1200 it's snowing very hard. When you get to 1300-1400 it's sticking to grass/leaves. When you get above 1500 it's sticking to everything. I snapped this turning into my driveway around 1700. We have a little over an inch.

You can't see it in the picture, but it's snowing very hard.

heavy snow for like 6 hours here in maryville, still snowing, got like an inch on the ground and sticking to roadways. a band has been over blount county since around 930-10pm...definitely an over performer for my house, love it!

Congrats Reb and John! Nothing but cold green grass here, lol. I guess it was payback for the 5in we got in Jan. When yall got half of that. Oh well had like .2 on thurs. AM. Brings total up to 8.7 for the year, lol. I can't complain. It's been a strange winter for sure.

Edit: Very fine light snow starting to finally make it's way over here. Has coated the rooftops and a little on the grass and glass picnic table. Was starting to think I wasn't even going to see a flake from this disturbance, lol

We have around 1.5 inches. Steady snow still coming down. I don't know about the system next week, after that I would figure its a decent bet we'll hit spring mode. All told this puts me at 11.5 inches. Probably a bit over 50% of normal for mby. A good bit better than last year, which was under 10 total.

Steady, light fine snow has been falling here this AM, but the sun came out early on and melted my little dusting. Not to mention, it raised my temp above freezing, so I dont expect ant accum. Here.

No snow hear in the valley. Sometime between 9 and 11 last night the mountains were reporting up to an inch of snow with rain at my house. This was very light for me, not enough to tip the old rain bucket. On local news they were sending in pictures of the snow.

Had about a 1/4" on my deck around 3am this morning.

Had a burst of moderate snow the last hour or so and it's laid down another fluffy .5 inches. OHX nailed this for their plateau counties but MRX failed for theirs.

NW flow is actually beginning to pick up and enhance snow showers all over Middle and East Tennessee. I expect quite a few will wake up to at least a dusting to 1/2 inch or so with the snow showers and well below freezing temps. Of course it'll be gone as soon as the sun glances at it with the very low moisture content.

LOL...MRX cancelled the advisory for the smokies this evening. They have had a rough time with this..I notice they are now surrounded by SWS's and of course they're holding firm with their HWO. Nevermind the snow and subfreezing temps area wide

I'd expect above 2500feet will be picking up 1-2 inches tonight. Maybe even more. This is the first day of true NW flow snow since this started. Sadly it's not hooked up with the lakes any better. I read that they are actually pretty well frozen right now and don't have quite the lake effect producing ability they have at times.

No suprise there. MRX misses their forecasts more than gets them right.

Lol, ive had more snow from nw flow tday than all the other days. Been colder too. Sitting at 31 right now.
