I really wish Ryan Maue would change the coding on those snow maps. Obviously most of the "snow" shown on his map won't be snow but rather sleet/freezing rain.

And what sucks for me is I am always on the outside of the event. I am either to far west for when the storms go east or like this to far east for when it goes west. And same north and south too. I get hit by every storm so I guess that is good but I never get big totals really (well not as much as everyone else does).

The gfs continues to get faster with this cold air with each run. It is starting to catch up with the euro. While I don't believe the acum#s that the euro shows with all the freezing rain and sleet. Those #s will be less. Someone will endup all out ice storm this is a very ugly setup. BUT!!!! If the models continue to get colder we may end up with more snow and sleet!

Skillsweather! Iam not sure were in tn, you live but you will have plenty of precip, anywhere from 3 to 5 inches of rain to .5 to 1 inch of ice to few inches of snow.    

I know how you feel Skills. Seems like it happens that way more often than not. Winter is just getting started hang on and you will eventually get yours!

Looking at the nam it's starting to catch up as well with the cold air. It's starting to trend with the other models. I can see them all going colder with time!

Not me..in my winter outlook I actually mentioned the possibility of a very early start to winter and a cold one on top of that

Great for folks to our west but I seem to need a huge umbrella for this event. When might our next shot be headed our way for the plateau might and areas east. All to our east enjoy and stay safe. Hope you don't get a lot of ice.

 didnt really know what topic to put this in... folks may already know about this but i didnt until today.. frankie is no longer with us.. yeah frankie who made the weather videos toot posted once in awhile... i know we all got a kick out of him cause of he enthusiasim and all... but its so sad i found out about this. frankie mcdonal rip... word was he got hit by a big truck in canada... he was 29 years old of age... almost makes me sick to my to hear about this.

I don't know if this is true. There are a couple of things saying someone had just started a rumor. But if it is I do hate that it happened. R.i.p.

An INSANE temperature gradient this morning! It is currently 16 degrees in Paducah, KY and 73 in Myrtle Beach, SC!!

Looks like another light snow event will be possible across the mid state plateau and NE TN Tuesday. The GFS is not as bullish but its hard to ignore the NAM 12 and teh HI Res NAM due to us being inside the 48 hr window

  I am seeing somewhat the same type of pattern as last year for cold weather. Yes it been a little colder than last so far. But some of the runs on the cold weather have it starting out in the west and making it over this way only to kind of nip the edges of tenn and get push east of most of us. A lot of cold weather for the Eastern Tenn area get's push off to the east. They are things taking place this year that didn't happen last year but on the eastern side looking a lot like last year. Of course we have not started winter yet. Let's hope for big snow storms, and cold weather to reach here this winter. Yes some of you have seen some snow, and i have seen some flakes which is better than last year at this time. Just hope all our winter weather don't stop in Dec. Some forecaster think winter will come quick and leave in the same way. Other words short and sweet. I don't have the names of these because i read so many of them. But in my area looks to be above avg in rainfall for this month. Since Friday i have already pick up over 3 inches of rain and more to come today and tonight and then again over this coming weekend. Have a good day everyone. Watching and waiting for some good things to happen this winter.

Well hello there, Mr. Debbie Downer. I have seen many reputable forecasters saying that December would/will be the driest/warmest month of the Winter, while Jan/Feb will be the coldest by far. I think we've got a pretty dang good start.

I have heard of many say to that December would start off slow but it has not in many areas of the U.S. Let just hope everyone across tennessee get into the good stuff this winter.
