yep SPC sayiing things are coming together for a TORNADO OUTBREAK for the ohio valley region later today... fwiw shaded 10 percent tormado chance just north of i 40 roughly just north of jackson to about the edge of nashville.. interesting

My Take

A strong shortwave will push another arctic front across the eastern U.S this weekend whilst it becomes very negatively tilted before it ejects itself off the northeastern coastline!

The potential exists for a widespread and long lived damaging wind event with a few Tornados possible if cells can fire out ahead of the mid latitude cyclones squall line. As the line(s) become more linear the tornado chances will become alot less likley (Mainly weak and embedded quick spinups) with damaging winds being the main threat mode

Dewpoint 70 in Dyersburg and the sun is shining. The super cells keep developing further and further south and when one blows up it starts rotating. hurry

Line of storms now moving into and passed Nashville @ 8:35. There is a Thunderstorm watch in effect for some counties west and NW of me. This is the cold front coming into the area. If these hold up they should reach Chattanooga area between 10 and 12 P.M. tonight.

I don't know if we had any high winds because the sleep monster got me. Woke up @ 1:30 and all was quiet. .67 of an inch of rain.

No severe at all here, but finally some decent rain. Had 0.75in in the gauge between the rain yesterday afternoon and the line overnight. Most rain i've had from one system in about 2months.
