I get tired (again) by people who are called out for talking about model data that not's declaring imminent doom and gloom...yet the exact opposite is tolerated if not encouraged by more the rest of the time. Its one of the main reasons I stopped posting here the first time and may do it again if it keeps up.
Now that I know I'm not coming back here...I don't feel worried saying screw you. Since I joined in 2004...there has been post after post from you mocking me or bashing me and I encourage any member to go through his and/or mine post history to see that and simply because I didn't cry death and destruction every time a cold front was passing through or the GFS showed a 1000 hour non-existent snow threat. Almost from the year I joined...nearly 8 years. I hope you enjoyed it.
Sorry people...but I'm tired of the forum bullying but a certain group here and I'm joining the ranks of many dozens of others who aren't standing for it either. I apologize to the remaining quality posters that are still here.

Anybody heard anything concerning extending the SVR watch further eastward? I would think it would be getting close to time to do that.

Re: March 2nd 2012 in like a lion!! HIGH RISK
well, whew! I gotta say the silence after the siren with some easy rain is so sweet. But with the siren blowing, radio/tv in the house dogs barking heavy rain, hail and wind it is quite enough to ruffle some feathers. Looks like it's over here. Till maybe Friday. Ya'll please stay safe tonight, and thanks for the heads ups, thoughts and prayers. It is fascinating yet terrifying looking for severe weather. Cause what ya gona do when you see it bearing down upon ya. Well run like heck in reverse, and take some great video too. Gotta work tonight. I have stayed up all day for this. Time to go to bed. I have to work tonight. Later ya'll.

Re: March 2nd 2012 in like a lion!! HIGH RISK
Just heard from family members in Smithville. They didn't have damage at their place to speak of but after driving around it is apparent the area took a hard hit. Many trees are down/uprooted as well as a number of metal buildings and other structures heavily damaged.

Re: March 2nd 2012 in like a lion!! HIGH RISK
John appears to be in the cone of concern according to WBIR.
Re: March 2nd 2012 in like a lion!! HIGH RISK
Storms appear to be transistioning into mostly line segments now. I dont think the SPC will issue a TOR watch for extreme eastern TN and western NC...maybe a SVR watch but storms appear to have weakened a good bit.
But MAN are the winds howling here

Re: March 2nd 2012 in like a lion!! HIGH RISK
There is a cell in southeast TN that appears to have some severe qualities to it...but notice this warning was issued by FFC down in GA. Anybody know whats going on here? Maybe MRX is just too busy..IDK?
Also...they did end up extending the TOR watch eastward

Re: March 2nd 2012 in like a lion!! HIGH RISK
Seeing some great lightning from that line moving just to the south of me. Reb is probably getting rocked.
Re: March 2nd 2012 in like a lion!! HIGH RISK
It looks like a few storms are trying to reorganize somewhat.
Like Toot mentioned (regarding the wind), there are some very strong winds being picked up on radar just above the surface. It won’t take much to get those down to the surface.
