December Observations

Much better than Wednesday here in South Knoxville. Flurries started here about 4:30 and now the flakes have gotten bigger and it's coming down consistently. 30 degrees here at 9:30.

At 5:15pm it is a cold 33 degrees and the sun is setting in clear skies this evening. If it wasnt for the increasing clouds from the west I think the bottom would have dropped out tonight. Expecting some clouds on the increase so I will go with a nocturnal low of 25 tonight.

Agreed, I'm also calling for a low of 25.

Currently sitting at 26. Man, if there weren't clouds moving in, we sure would be down low. Prob. Mid teens. Like it is, prob. 23-25 is all we'll get. I'll go with 24 for a low.

I have 27 degrees. I was reading NWS forecast and they said temps should fall fast tonight but due to increasing clouds over night temps should start to level off during the night. As i am typing want to wish everyone on the board a Happy New Year and looking for a great winter. Hoping!!

I'm sitting here at 28 with partly cloudy skies. I wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year as well!!! Also, I wish for more accumulations in the valley for the upcoming year

That's a beautiful site. The view from my balcony was a bit different than that, lol.

23 here this morning with a fair am ount of frost. Must have cleared out a little to get that. Although, clouds are bright red this am, so I expect rain b4 the end of the day.

Down to 24.5 this morning, had expected 25, so it's all good. Currently cloudy with mid-level clouds. I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and a snowy start to the New Year as well.

We did get down to 24 today but clouds moving in very fast. Now up to 47 and cloudy. I remember back in 1963 on this day we got between 5 and 6 inches of snow. What a way to bring in the new year.

Currently 36 with a dewpoint of 28 and flurries!

Got to expeirience a moderate lil sleet shower today around lunch while working in the higher elevations.
