Re: Significant snows possible last two weeks of November
A busy night so a quick little writeup with a graphic
A bonified N'oreaster is set to get cranking up in the eastern U.S as a developing area of low pressure has formed in the gulf of mexico and will deepen significantly as it rides up the eastern coastline!! This system will cause many holiday travel troubles as it does its dirty work and lays down a moderate to heavy swath of snow!
This will begin in the southern Appalachians tomorrow and continue all the way to Maine as two pieces of upper level energy phase into one shortwave.. taking on a negative tilt. Below is my snowfall forecast for this one.

Boone NC area could be the big winner. Still think Knox area only see a few tail end flakes.

Is there another clipper coming from the northwest? Or will this be a quick melting snow?

I wouldnt call it a clipper but there is some trailing energy that will produce more snow on turkey day..lol

Obviously gonna be wrong on this one south of the Tri Cities..in unelevated areas. Upper level Dynamics/phasing is a day late and a dollar short!! MRX handled this very well!!

It is snowing very hard at the moment. It went from nothing on the ground to having the cars covered and a dusting on the grass in about 10 minutes.
