after looking at radar returns, already the backside of the precip is at memphis... and not hardly if any spinnning motion with any of this shield of precip... which is telling me the ull is hardly dynamic enough to help on cooling process... going to be tough to get any turn over to snow excep outside of the higher elevations.

Might not be so tought in northern middle tennessee where temps are in the mid thirties. We have some pretty good precipitation going right now.

The blue line that has entered west TN is your 850 freezing line when dynamic cooling gets going..and its moving eastward...that should roughly be the rain snow line

Toot, I've been noticing some snow forming back in Missouri on the latest radar returns. Any chance that fills in and swings through the area?

Back to a rain snow mix here in Lawrenceburg too, down to 37.

Andy that is N to NW flow precip in wake of the low and it will get more pronounced as the cold advection works its way into the state. You should have a little NW flow snow after the main precip shield comes thru

Its much colder than what was forecasted by OHX and MRX last night...This could be a critical benefit for most of southern TN

Now I just need it to go all snow which it is trying really hard to do right now. 36.5 here.

35 degrees here now, and as odd as this sounds some of these flakes look like bird feathers falling from the sky!!!!
